Welder
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of welding equipment and techniques, including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and stick welding. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret welding symbols and blueprints, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. The Welder will fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components while ensuring production goals and customer expectations are met.
Responsibilities
· Determine appropriate welding equipment, methods, and techniques required for each project
· Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and specifications
· Develop templates and work aids to align and hold parts properly
· Set up and operate welding equipment including MIG, TIG, stick welders, air arc machines, and cutting torches
· Tack-weld and weld components and assemblies in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
· Deburr, grind, and finish metal surfaces to meet quality and texture requirements
· Perform quality inspections throughout production and follow procedures for defective materials or parts
· Conduct equipment inspections prior to use and report any malfunctions or safety concerns
· Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, grinders, and other shop equipment as needed
· Receive, inspect, and unload incoming materials
· Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and On-Time Delivery goals
· Maintain accurate documentation, including time sheets and production records
· Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards
· Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from hazard
· Assist with additional duties and equipment operation as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
· Previous welding and fabrication experience preferred
· Strong knowledge of MIG, TIG, FCAW, and stick welding processes
· Ability to weld stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum component
· Capable of passing ASME and AWS welding certification tests
· Understanding of proper filler materials and welding techniques
· Experience using overhead cranes, forklifts, grinders, calipers, tape measures, and hand tools
· Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment
Benefits/Compensation
· Full Time
· Pay Rate is $23+ per hour
· Shift (7a-3:30p)
· Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts
