Tool & Die Maker
We are seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining precision tooling, molds, dies, fixtures, and gauges used in production operations. This role requires advanced machining skills, the ability to work from blueprints and CAD drawings, and a strong understanding of tooling processes to support efficient production and high-quality standards.
Responsibilities

Build, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain precision tooling, molds, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.

Analyze tooling problems and perform corrective repairs to minimize production downtime.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, CAD models, and specifications.

Operate manual and CNC equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, EDM machines, and drill presses.

Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, indicators, and other measuring instruments.

Modify and improve tooling to enhance production efficiency and product quality.

Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and production teams on tooling development and process improvements.

Perform preventive maintenance on tools and related equipment.

Ensure all tooling meets dimensional and quality specifications.

Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation.

Follow company safety standards and maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical certification preferred.

Minimum 5+ years of Toolmaker experience in a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of machining operations, tool steels, heat treating, and tooling materials.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.

Experience operating manual and CNC machining equipment.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Excellent mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Good communication and teamwork skills.
