Tool and Die Machinist
We are seeking an experienced Tool and Die Machinist to join a growing manufacturing team. This is a critical, highly technical role responsible for designing, building, and developing complex tools, dies, fixtures, gauges, and machine attachments—often from scratch and without existing blueprints. The ideal candidate is a creative, hands-on problem-solver with deep knowledge of machining, fabrication processes, and precision tooling.
Responsibilities

Plan, design, and construct intricate tools, dies, fixtures, gauges, and machine attachments.

Maintain close tolerances to ensure part accuracy, repeatability, and interchangeability.

Build tools and dies from concept when blueprints or design specifications are not available.

Perform tool tryouts, diagnose issues, and refine tooling for optimal performance.

Update or redesign tooling to improve production efficiency and solve manufacturing challenges.

Apply strong knowledge of machining, drafting, mathematics, and tool design in daily tasks.

Operate manual and CNC equipment, including mills, lathes, grinders, and related shop machinery.

Ensure all tooling meets quality standards and aligns with production requirements.
Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience as a Tool & Die Maker, Tool Designer, or Precision Machinist.

Ability to build complex tooling without pre-existing designs or detailed drawings.

Strong understanding of machining processes, fabrication techniques, and shop practices.

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, sketches, and schematics.

Mechanically inclined with hands-on experience using lathes, CNC equipment, mills, and grinders.

Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical problem-solving ability.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a production team.
