Supervisor
Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all 3rd-shift operations — including steel forging (press work), heat treating, CNC machining and tool & die support — to meet production targets and quality standards.

Manage, mentor, and schedule shift personnel (press operators, machinists, maintenance staff, etc.), ensuring adequate staffing and smooth workflow for the shift.

Monitor and enforce compliance with safety protocols, quality standards (internal and customer specs), and regulatory requirements for forging, heat-treating, and machining operations.

Track production output, scrap rates, rework, and downtime; identify bottlenecks or issues and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and throughput.

Coordinate with day-shift and maintenance teams to support transitions, tooling changeovers, and preventive maintenance tasks.

Maintain documentation and logs for shift activities, quality inspections, equipment performance, and safety checks.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, accountability, and craftsmanship.

Manage all department activities
Qualifications and Skills
-
High school diploma
-
3-5 years experience in machining
-
Set-up experience to include use of correct tooling/fixturing
-
Basic knowledge of G codes
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook

Experience in Excel a plus
