Staff Accountant
We are seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to support a local company’s manufacturing operations with a strong emphasis on cost accounting, accounts receivable (AR), and accounts payable (AP) functions. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting operations by delivering insight into production costs and financial performance.
Responsibilities

Analyze and maintain standard cost structures, including materials, labor, and

overhead.

Monitor inventory transactions and reconcile discrepancies between physical and

book inventory.

Investigate cost variances (actual vs. standard) and assist with root cause analysis.

Prepare cost roll-ups and support product costing for new and existing products.

Oversee end-to-end AR functions: invoicing, collections, and customer account
-
reconciliations.

Manage AP processing including invoice approvals, purchase order matching, and

payment cycles.

Ensure timely month-end close activities related to inventory, AR, and AP.

Collaborate closely with production, procurement, and warehouse teams to

improve cost accuracy and financial controls.

Assist with audits, providing required documentation and reports.
Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.

2–4 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and standard cost accounting principles.

Excellent analytical mindset and attention to detail.

Ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams in operations, logistics, and finance.
