Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Picks orders and prepares them for shipment to the customer as instructed by the customer’s requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Work using a computer to process shipments through UPS/FedEx manifest. Re-box product as needed, audit products as directed.

  • Cycle Count pick orders from partial pack warehouse using a scale to weight parts, package and ship.

  • Pick and ship items from sample storage.

  • Run stretch wrapper and help floor with bar coding shipments.

  • Prepare shipping documents, including packing lists, bills of lading, shipping labels, and customs paperwork as required.

  • Ready product for shipping by the UPS/FedEx manifest

  • Help audit product and repackage as needed

  • Pick from partial pack warehouse and process shipments

  • Work the floor labelling cartons

  • Backup sample room

  • Coordinate with carriers or logistics providers to schedule and arrange transportation for outgoing shipments.

  • Generate shipping labels and affix them to packages or containers appropriately.

  • Receive incoming shipments, verifying their accuracy and condition against packing lists, purchase orders, or other documentation.

  • Inspect received goods for damages, discrepancies, or quality issues.

  • Coordinate with suppliers or vendors to resolve shipment or quality issues.

  • Update and maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems or software.

  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to ensure inventory accuracy.

  • Organize and label received products or materials for proper storage and tracking.

  • Retrieve products or materials from inventory based on pick lists or customer orders.

  • Prepare orders for shipment and coordinate pick-up or delivery arrangements.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipping and receiving activities, including receipts, shipping documents, and tracking information.

  • File and organize shipping and receiving documentation for easy retrieval and reference.

  • Prepare reports on shipping volumes, inventory levels, or other relevant metrics as requested.

Qualifications and Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in logistics or supply chain management is beneficial.

  • UPS/FedEx experience and computer knowledge a must

  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation, packaging, and logistics.

  • Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.

  • Proficiency in using inventory management systems or software.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping and data entry.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal teams, suppliers, carriers, and customers.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

  • Knowledge of shipping regulations, customs requirements, and hazardous materials handling (if applicable).

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with office software applications.

  • Able to lift 40 lbs.

  • Background check required

  • Steel toe boots required
