Shipper & Receiver
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipper and Receiver to manage the flow of goods in and out of the facility. This role is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, verifying incoming deliveries, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring inventory is handled safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on position within a small fabrication environment, offering the opportunity to support multiple areas of operations based on skillset.
Responsibilities

Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company and carrier standards

Coordinate with the office to complete required shipping documentation, including photos, weights, and dimensions of shipments

Unload incoming deliveries and verify contents against purchase orders

Inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly

Label and store inventory in designated areas

Maintain accurate shipping and receiving logs and records

Ensure compliance with safety procedures and proper material handling

Communicate with internal departments to resolve shipping and receiving issues

Assist in other areas of the shop as needed, including machine operation, maintenance, or fitter support
Qualifications and Skills

Previous experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations preferred

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate forklifts or pallet jacks (certification is a plus)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team

Problem-solving skills to address discrepancies or delays
