Quality Control Technician
Career Concepts is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Control Technician for a well-established manufacturing company in the Pittsburgh area. This position offers long-term growth potential in a clean, team-oriented production environment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to follow written procedures, and an interest in laboratory and product quality testing.
Responsibilities

Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process batches, and finished products.

Utilize instruments such as density meters, refractometers, flash point testers, pH testers, viscosity testers, and gas chromatographs to verify product characteristics.

Accurately record and document all test data in accordance with company procedures.

Communicate test results and quality concerns promptly to production and management teams.

Ensure all materials are properly tracked to maintain accurate inventory levels.

Assist with monthly inventory counts and continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain lab cleanliness, equipment calibration, and compliance with all safety policies.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field (preferred).

2+ years experience in a laboratory or quality control role preferred.

Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy in documentation.

Basic computer and data entry skills.

Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
