Purchasing Coordinator
A manufacturing company in the Erie, PA area is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to support ongoing operational and inventory needs. This role will work closely with the Purchasing team to manage purchasing activities, maintain inventory levels, and coordinate with domestic and international vendors. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable supporting purchasing and inventory functions in a manufacturing environment. They will be able to work with vendors, manage purchasing documentation, and use systems such as NetSuite and Excel to support daily operations.
Responsibilities

Place, track, and receive purchase orders

Reorder materials and maintain appropriate inventory levels

Monitor inventory to support production and operational needs

Work with Chinese and Canadian vendors to coordinate purchasing activities

Communicate with freight brokers and assist with logistics coordination

Calculate landed costs for purchased materials

Ensure material compliance requirements are met

Utilize NetSuite for purchasing and inventory tracking

Perform data entry and maintain accurate purchasing records

Use Excel and basic math skills to support purchasing functions
Qualifications and Skills

Prior purchasing or inventory-related experience preferred

Experience working with vendors and suppliers

Strong Excel skills and comfort with basic math calculations

Experience using NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and manage priorities

Punctuality and consistent attendance are essential
