Purchaser
A local Erie company is seeking a Purchaser to join their team. As a Purchaser you will play a key role in overseeing the procurement if materials used for manufacturing. This position helps ensure the smooth operation of the manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, high levels of attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities

Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet production requirements.

Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.

Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials to ensure continuous production flow.

Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and on-time deliveries.

Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to identify material needs.

Review and analyze vendor proposals, pricing, and delivery schedules.

Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations related to purchasing.

Track and manage purchase orders, materials, and deliveries.

Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, inventory, and vendor performance.

Work with finance and accounts to ensure accurate invoicing and payment processing.
Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or general education degree.

2+ years of previous purchasing experience.

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of standard office programs.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
