Property and Leasing Manager
A confidential, well-established property management group is seeking a Property and Leasing Manager to oversee daily operations of an assigned residential or mixed-use property. This role involves leasing, resident relations, maintenance coordination, financial oversight, and vendor management. The ideal candidate is an organized, resident-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates ownership of all property-related functions.
Responsibilities
Leasing & Occupancy Management

Handle all leasing activities: marketing, showings, applications, and lease execution.

Track and follow up on leads within 24 hours to maintain strong occupancy.

Oversee renewals, rent increases, and compliance with company leasing policies.

Promote retention through professional, responsive resident interactions.
Resident Relations

Serve as the primary contact for all resident needs and concerns.

Create a positive, respectful, and community-focused environment.

Resolve conflicts and enforce lease terms fairly and consistently.
Operations & Maintenance Coordination

Partner with maintenance staff and the Facilities Director to complete work orders, inspections, and preventive maintenance.

Conduct property inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal.

Manage vendor relationships, schedules, and performance to maintain quality and cost control.
Financial & Administrative Oversight

Manage rent collection and delinquency follow-up, including notices and eviction support.

Assist with monthly financial reports, budgets, and expense tracking.

Maintain accurate documentation for residents, leases, work orders, and inspections.
Compliance & Documentation

Ensure adherence to Fair Housing, company policies, and safety regulations.

Oversee complete and compliant move-in/move-out processes with proper documentation.
Leadership & Accountability

Take ownership of property operations by addressing issues directly and providing solutions.

Maintain structured scheduling and time-management systems.

Provide weekly updates summarizing leasing activity, maintenance status, and resident relations.
Qualifications and Skills

3+ years of experience in residential or commercial property management.

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in property management software (AppFolio, Yardi, or PropertyBoss preferred).

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Erie County.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
