Material Handler
A molding manufacturer is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support production operations. This role is responsible for receiving, blending, and delivering raw materials and colorants, ensuring presses are properly stocked, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment. The ideal candidate has prior molding or plastics experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities

Receive, unload, identify, and store raw materials, colorants, and containers.

Blend raw materials and colorants to required ratios; label and store blended batches.

Ensure molding presses have the correct material and maintain proper hopper/feed levels throughout the shift.

Perform hopper and color changeovers, calibrate feeders, and clean grinders/presses as needed.

Safely handle full and empty pallets in the production area.

Assist coworkers and supervisors when needed, including covering breaks.

Maintain plant cleanliness, including snow removal/salting when necessary.

Follow all safety procedures and ISO9001:2000 standards.
Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in molding production (plastics industry preferred).

Forklift/jitney experience and ability to operate powered tow trucks safely.

Basic processing and weigh-up skills.

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.

Strong math skills, including ratios, percentages, and graphs.

Problem-solving mindset with the ability to support supervisors and team members.

Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.

Frequent reaching, bending, lifting, and use of ladders (up to 9 feet).

Must be able to lift/move up to 100 lbs.

Comfortable working around moving machinery, airborne particles, and occasional high heat.
