Material Handler

Responsibilities
  • Accurately mix materials to meet specific product specifications.

  • Document all mixing activities on daily mixing logs.

  • Identify and deliver the correct raw materials to presses, hoppers, dryers, material barrels, and other designated equipment.

  • Operate and clean material-handling equipment, including mixers, grinders, loaders, hoppers, and dryers.

  • Maintain and distribute the Production Material Inventory sheet with current lot numbers to required departments.

  • Provide daily inventory updates and reorder levels to management.

  • Conduct physical raw material inventories as needed.

  • Keep work areas clean and organized to prevent contamination of raw material or regrind.

  • Ensure auxiliary equipment is maintained and workstations are swept and orderly after each use.

  • Complete all documentation related to raw materials.

  • Safely operate a forklift for material movement.

  • Perform overtime as required.

  • Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Skills 
  • Must be trained and/or qualified to safely operate a forklift.

  • Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and related procedures.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions independently.

  • Proficiency in basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).

  • Experience preferred but not required; on-the-job training is provided at management’s discretion.

  • Pay Rate is $14 per hour

  • 1st Shift

  • Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts
