Packaging Associate
The Packaging Associate prepares outgoing parts (wipe, count, bag) then packages, so they maintain part integrity for transport. The physical requirements can vary for this position but there are periods where the work required can be sedentary and repetitive.
Responsibilities

Perform visual inspection and cleaning of all parts for appearance, uniformity, and possible damage/mixing prior to packaging

Documents all information to ensure proper packaging specification

Weigh outgoing parts to guard against count discrepancies

Perform packaging of all parts in accordance with customer requirements

Complete inspection quantities required in order to meet delivery

Assists the packaging department to prepare other jobs for shipment as needed

Performs other duties as required by shipping/Packaging supervisor
Qualifications and Skills

Must be able to read, write and speak English

Must have good general math skills, counting and be able to demonstrate efficient use of electronics scales, calculators and other packaging equipment

Must have the ability to lift 35 pound minimum

Must have above average attention to detail, good manual dexterity, have basic logic and reasoning skills to insure product meets customer standards.

Must be able to work first shift. Some weekends and overtime may be required

Must be able to perform repetitive work in a sitting position for extended periods of tim

Must be able to work in accordance to KPW Quality and safety standards

Must demonstrate self-control, the ability to make decisions, and acceptance of responsibility and the ability to think and function independently.

Prior experience in inspection and packaging is preferred but not required.

Pay Rate is $14.50-16 DOE
