Optometric Technician
A local Erie company is seeking an Optometric Technician who will support the operations of a eyewear business by performing general clerical duties, providing inviting customer service, and expanding their knowledge of optometry. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn and participate in creating a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities

Perform optometry tests on patients in accordance with established procedures.

Manage incoming phone calls.

Schedule any future appointments with new or returning customers.

Repair and dispense high quality eye-wear.

Build a necessary understanding of optometry to fulfil the needs of the position.
Qualifications and Skills

A willingness to learn the fundamentals of optometry if not already familiar.

A background based in friendly and inviting customer service.

Medical office background is a plus.

Former optometry experience is a plus but not required.
