Office Operations Coordinator / Bookkeeper

We are partnering with a reputable, locally owned plumbing and heating company with approximately 24 employees. They are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and financially minded office professional to support business operations and bookkeeping. This role offers long-term growth into higher-level office and operational functions, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and is eager to learn the business beyond basic clerical work.

Responsibilities

Customer & Office Operations

  • Answer incoming calls and provide professional, friendly customer service

  • Support scheduling, office organization, and paperwork flow

  • Assist with documentation, filing, vendor communication, and supply needs

  • Coordinate with field technicians and internal team members

Financial & Job Administration

  • Maintain QuickBooks (required) for basic bookkeeping functions

  • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and vendor records

  • Build and maintain project/job spreadsheets and cost tracking

  • Assist with bid prep, insurance certificates, job costing, and related documentation

  • Learn deeper financial and operational tasks as skills develop

Qualifications and Skills
  • QuickBooks experience (required)

  • Strong Excel or spreadsheet skills; comfortable with numbers

  • Previous office ops, accounting, or administrative experience

  • Reliable, thorough, and proactive — able to work independently once trained

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Willingness to learn new systems, tasks, and industry processes

Bonus Skills (not required)

  • Experience in plumbing/heating, construction, or trades environment

  • Experience with bids, job costing, or insurance paperwork

Benefits/Compensation
  • Full Time

  • First shift (8am – 4:30pm)  

  • $22+/hr based on experience

  • Temp to hire position  

  • Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts
