Office Operations Coordinator/Bookkeeper
We are partnering with a locally owned plumbing and heating company with a team of about 24 employees. They are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who can support daily office operations and bookkeeping functions while learning all aspects of the business. This role is designed to grow into a higher-level position. The ideal candidate is hands-on, enjoys variety in their workday, and is comfortable picking up new tasks over time.
Responsibilities

Answer incoming calls and provide friendly, helpful customer service.

Support the day-to-day flow of the office and coordinate basic operational tasks.

Assist with scheduling, filing, documentation, and general office upkeep.

Collaborate with team members and maintain a positive, team-focused environment.

Manage basic bookkeeping using QuickBooks (required).

Maintain spreadsheets and track project or job-related information.

Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and vendor documentation.

Support bid preparation and insurance paperwork as needed.

Learn additional financial, administrative, and operational tasks as part of long-term role growth.
Qualifications and Skills

Experience with QuickBooks and strong spreadsheet/Excel skills.

Prior office, bookkeeping, or administrative experience.

Willingness to learn all aspects of the business and take on new responsibilities.

Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.

Reliable, organized, and able to work independently when needed.

Experience in plumbing, heating, or similar trades is a plus.

Experience with bids, insurance certificates, or job costing is a plus.
