Metal Fabricator
Responsible for preparing metal parts and materials for powder coating. This hands-on role includes washing, blasting, masking, and racking parts, as well as safely operating a fork truck and overhead crane to move materials through the shop.
Responsibilities

Prepare metal parts and materials for powder coating.

Load and unload the parts washer.

Perform steel grit blasting to clean and prepare part surfaces.

Perform glass bead blasting as required.
-
Mask parts to protect areas that should not be coated.

Load and unload parts on powder coat racks.

Operate a fork truck to move materials and finished parts.

Operate a 5-ton overhead crane to move heavy parts safely.

Keep work area clean, organized, and safe.

Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Qualifications and Skills

Previous metal fabrication, sandblasting, or powder coat prep experience preferred.

Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Strong attention to detail and quality.

Willingness to wear required PPE, including respiratory protection when blasting.

Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
