Material Handler-Plastic Injection Molding
The Plastic Injection Material Handler is responsible for supplying, handling, and managing raw materials, regrind, and finished goods to support plastic injection molding operations. This role ensures materials are delivered accurately, safely, and on time to maintain continuous production and quality standards.
Responsibilities

Load, transport, and supply raw plastic resins, colorants, and additives to injection molding machines

Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks

Set up, operate, and monitor material dryers, loaders, and conveying systems

Verify correct material, color, and lot numbers per work orders and production schedules

Label, weigh, and document materials and finished products accurately

Manage regrind material according to company procedures and quality standards

Maintain clean, organized material storage and production areas (5S)

Perform material changeovers and purging as required

Identify and report material shortages, contamination, or quality issues

Follow all safety procedures, including PPE and material handling guidelines
Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or GED preferred
-
1+ year of material handling or manufacturing experience preferred

Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification

Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation

Ability to follow written instructions and work orders

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
