Manual Mill and Lathe Machinist
Responsibilities

Set up and operate manual milling machines and engine lathes

Machine precision parts from blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
-
Perform drilling, boring, turning, threading, facing, and other machining operations
-
Hold close tolerances while producing quality finished parts
-
Inspect completed work using precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges
-
Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for a variety of materials
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
-
Work closely with the production team to meet quality and delivery expectations
Qualifications and Skills

Previous experience operating manual mills and lathes in a manufacturing or machine shop environment

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, and precision measurements

Experience working to tight tolerances

Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
-
Dependable attendance and a commitment to producing quality work
-
Technical training or apprenticeship is a plus but not required with relevant experience.
