Maintenance Technician
A metal manufacturer is looking for a dependable Maintenance Technician to help keep manufacturing equipment and facility systems operating safely and efficiently. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with previous industrial maintenance experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and troubleshooting skills. The technician will perform equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and general facility upkeep while supporting production needs across two locations.
Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance according to established schedules

Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, rebuild, and maintain manufacturing equipment

Perform mechanical, three-phase electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs

Maintain facility systems, including lighting, plumbing, air and water systems, overhead doors, and building electrical systems

Coordinate outside maintenance services as needed

Complete OSHA-related inspections of facility systems and equipment

Keep the maintenance department organized

Support production needs and help minimize equipment downtime

Encourage and support autonomous maintenance practices among production operators

Maintain, repair, clean, or paint equipment, buildings, and grounds as needed

Research tools, replacement parts, and improved maintenance methods

Assist with training cooperative education and work-study students
Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or GED preferred
-
4–5 years of related maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities

Ability to perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting

Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is beneficial

Ability to work independently and support production requirements

Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

Ability to travel between and work at two locations as needed
Benefits/Compensation

$20+/hr based on experience

First Shift (6am-4:30pm)

M-Th four 10hr days
