Maintenance Technician
Responsibilities
-
Reports to Maintenance Supervisor
-
Operate forklift
-
Determine mechanical condition of machinery and equipment during preventive maintenance checks.
-
Communicate deficiencies to maintenance supervisor.
-
Lubricate and service machinery is required.
-
Weld with gas, MIG and stick arc.
-
Service forklifts
-
Complete all paperwork to verify correct procedures were followed
-
Perform electrical repairs, both single and three phase
-
Have a valid driver's license
-
Read and comprehend blueprints and wiring diagrams.
-
Demonstrate ability to read and perform calculations at a ninth-grade level.
-
Operate maintenance equipment (lathe, power hacksaw, bandsaw, grinders, drill press, hand tools)
-
Determine job from work assignment
-
Report time and materials used in completing a job.
-
Observe all safety regulations (OSHA and Corry Rubber rules)
-
Perform other work as assigned by supervisor
-
Weekend work may be required
-
Clean molds using grit blasting or dry ice
-
Set up presses to produce parts meeting customer specifications
-
Perform first piece setup procedures
-
Vision - 20/20 with or without correction
Qualifications and Skills
-
Previous experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance strongly preferred.

Experience operating forklifts and maintenance shop equipment.
-
Must meet vision requirement of 20/20 with or without correction.

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
-
Ability to perform preventive maintenance inspections and identify equipment deficiencies.
-
Familiarity with forklift maintenance and servicing.
-
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and measurements.
-
Strong attention to detail and ability to complete required maintenance documentation.
-
Knowledge of electrical systems, including single-phase and three-phase power.
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
-
Experience performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical equipment.
-
Knowledge of workplace safety practices, including OSHA compliance.
-
Ability to manage work assignments independently and track time and materials used for repairs.
-
Effective communication skills to report equipment issues and coordinate with supervisors.
