Service Technician
Our client is seeking a hands-on and mechanically inclined Service Technician to join their growing team. This role is ideal for individuals with mechanical or HVAC experience who enjoy working with industrial equipment and solving complex problems. The Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electric motors, pumps, and related equipment both in-shop and at customer locations. This position offers the opportunity to develop specialized skills through hands-on training in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities

Disassemble, inspect, clean, and repair electric motors, pumps, and related equipment

Perform detailed evaluations and generate reports outlining findings and recommended repairs

Reassemble equipment, conduct final testing, and complete finishing processes such as painting

Assist with machining custom parts and components for repairs

Perform tasks such as shaft machining, sleeve installation, metallizing, and welding repairs

Travel to customer sites to remove, install, and rebuild motors and pumps

Perform on-site troubleshooting and repairs as needed

Conduct laser alignment and dynamic balancing of rotating equipment

Perform vibration analysis to identify and resolve mechanical issues

Clean parts using steam cleaning, sandblasting, and oven bake-out processes

Prepare components for repair and reassembly
Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or trade school certification preferred

Minimum 1 year of hands-on mechanical experience (preferred)

Experience in HVAC, industrial maintenance, or related mechanical fields is highly transferable

Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn

Ability to use tools, equipment, and machinery safely and effectively

Comfortable working both in a shop environment and in the field

MUST have a valid DL and a clean MVR
