Machine Operator
Career Concepts is currently seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Machine Operator for a leading manufacturing company in the Pittsburgh area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, operating industrial equipment, and being part of a team that values quality, safety, and productivity. The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment while maintaining production standards.
Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing equipment, including CNC plasma cutters, saws, rolls, shears, and drill presses.

Adjust machine settings to ensure efficient production and high-quality output.

Load raw materials and monitor machine performance throughout production runs.

Perform routine equipment inspections, lubrication, and minor maintenance to minimize downtime.

Troubleshoot machine issues and communicate maintenance concerns when necessary.

Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical documents.

Complete production reports, maintenance logs, and other required documentation accurately.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety policies.

Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications and Skills

Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred.

Experience operating industrial equipment such as CNC plasma cutters, saws, shears, drill presses, or similar machinery is a plus.

Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and measuring tools.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Basic math skills and ability to perform measurements and calculations.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move materials throughout the shift.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
