Machine Operator
Responsibilities
-
Setup and remove work pieces from a machine per procedure
-
Proficiently use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges to ensure conformance of specified tolerances
-
Ability to perform in-process instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges to ensure conformance of specified tolerances
-
Ability to perform in-process inspections at a machine and adjust various offsets to ensure conformance of workpieces as required
-
Position and secure parts on machines using measuring instruments, holding devices, hand tools, and cranes
-
Study blueprints, layouts, sketches, and work orders to determine tolerances and work procedures
-
Ability to recognize tooling types-facemill, drill, tapps, etc.
Qualifications and Skills
-
Knowledge of basic math and how to calculate tooling speeds/feeds
-
Prior machining experience and knowledge in general machining practice
-
Ability to read and understand documents and blueprints
-
Ability to use hand tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, tape measure, etc.)
-
Ability to lift 50 lbs to insert tooling, materials, and use lifting devices.

Crane and forklift experience
