Machine Maintenance Technician
A local manufacturing company in Erie, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the ongoing operation and upkeep of our production equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems, and at least 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting. This role is essential in ensuring the continued functionality of equipment and the overall safety and cleanliness of the facility.
Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and adjust existing production and facility equipment.

Build, install, and maintain new equipment as needed.

Perform routine preventative maintenance checks and repairs.

Advise on and help manage spare parts inventory.

Maintain and document work orders using the Mattec system.

Conduct building and facility maintenance, including inspections.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Provide support and input for continuous improvement efforts.

Work overtime when needed to support production and maintenance needs.
Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or GED required.

Preferably certification in hydraulics, electrical systems, or a related trade.

Strongly prefer someone with experience in injection molding or similar manufacturing equipment.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a mechanical or facility maintenance role.

Basic knowledge of maintenance trades including plumbing, mechanics, and general building systems.

Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, safety rules, and technical documents.

Basic math and computer skills.

Must have a valid driver’s license.

Familiarity with maintenance tracking systems like Mattec is a plus.
