Machine Maintenance Technician
A local manufacturing company is looking for a skilled Machine Maintenance Technician to join their team. This person will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of production equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical skills and a proactive approach to minimizing equipment downtime.
Responsibilities

Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure optimal operation and reduce the risk of breakdowns.

Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and make necessary repairs in a timely and effective manner.

Adjustments & Calibration: Make appropriate adjustments to machinery to maintain product quality and performance.

Parts & Inventory: Identify worn or faulty components and replace them; maintain proper records and coordinate with inventory for parts as needed.

Documentation: Accurately log maintenance work, repair activities, and inspections using maintenance tracking systems.

Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and ensure that machines are operating within safety guidelines.

Emergency Maintenance: Respond to unexpected breakdowns quickly and efficiently to minimize production disruptions.

Team Support: Work closely with production and engineering teams to support equipment-related issues and improvements.
Qualifications and Skills

At least 3 years of proven experience in machine maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

Proficient in the use of hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and basic fabrication or welding a plus.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Willingness to be flexible with shifts or respond to emergency calls as needed.
