Machine Floater
A Machine Floater is a versatile and skilled individual responsible for providing support and assistance across various functions within a machine shop. The role involves performing a range of tasks to ensure efficient operation, maintenance, and organization of the shop floor, contributing to the overall productivity and success of the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
-  Operate and assist with setup of various machine shop equipment (lathes, mills, grinders, CNC machines) 
-  Move materials and parts safely using equipment like forklifts or cranes 
-  Perform quality checks on parts to ensure accuracy and meet standards 
-  Keep work area and machines clean; follow basic maintenance routines 
-  Organize and restock tools and materials as needed 
-  Support team members in setups, tool changes, and production tasks 
-  Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective gear 
-  Record production information clearly and accurately 
-  Stay open to learning new skills and taking on different tasks as required 
Qualifications and Skills
-  High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in machining or related field is a plus. 
-  Previous experience working in a machine shop or manufacturing environment preferred. 
-  Proficiency in using machine shop tools, measuring instruments, and equipment. 
-  Basic understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials. 
-  Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. 
-  Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. 
-  Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance. 
-  Effective communication and teamwork skills. 
Benefits/Compensation
-  Full Time 
-  Pay Rate is $16.31-$17.31 per hour 
-  3rd Shift 
-  Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts 
-  Benefits available while employed through Career Concepts 
-  Temp-To-Hire 
-  Benefits after Probation period 
Training:
-  All training takes place on 1st shift for up to 90 days to ensure you’re fully prepared for success. 
-  Training typically lasts up to 90 days, though some team members may transition to desired shift sooner depending on performance and readiness. (Early completion is possible but not guaranteed.) 
-  Training pay: $16.31/hour. 
After Training:
-  Move to desired with a shift pay of $17.31/hour. 
-  Steady, long-term opportunities with room to grow.
