Lead Process Technician - Plastics
Responsibilities

Lead Technical Operations: Set up, optimize, and oversee plastic injection molding machines to ensure smooth, high-quality production runs.

Drive Process Excellence: Define and fine-tune process parameters (injection speed, temperature, pressure, cooling/cycle times) to maximize part quality and production efficiency.

Innovate & Improve: Conduct mold trials, analyze data, and collaborate with engineers and operators to identify and implement process improvements.

Be the Go-To Troubleshooter: Quickly diagnose and resolve process-related issues-keeping downtime low and quality high.

Champion Quality: Partner with quality control to maintain rigorous standards, perform dimensional checks, and ensure every part meets specifications.

Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and production staff to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.

Document & Report: Maintain detailed records of process parameters, changes, and troubleshooting activities; generate performance reports and support data-driven decision-making.

Promote Safety: Foster a culture of safety, following and enforcing best practices to ensure a secure work environment for all.
Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience as a plastics process technician or similar role in manufacturing.

Deep knowledge of injection molding machines, molds, and plastics processing.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/specifications.

Effective communicator and team player, comfortable collaborating at all levels.

Commitment to safety and quality excellence.

High school diploma or equivalent required
