Landscape Laborers
A landscaping technician is responsible for the installation, and maintenance of outdoor landscapes. They work in various settings such as residential properties, commercial buildings, parks or cemetery’s. The landscaping technician performs a range of tasks including planting, pruning and lawn care.
Responsibilities

Install plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers according to landscape designs and specifications.

Mow, edge, and trim lawns to maintain an attractive and neat appearance.

Overseed and aerate lawns to improve density and resilience.

Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges to maintain their shape, health, and desired size.

Apply mulch or other ground covers to suppress weed growth and conserve moisture.

Perform seasonal clean-up tasks such as leaf removal, debris clearing, and winterization.

Inspect, maintain, and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper functioning and water conservation.

Adjust sprinkler heads, valves, or timers to optimize water distribution and coverage.

Monitor water usage and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.

Collaborate with irrigation specialists or technicians for more complex system repairs or installations.

Collaborate with clients to understand their preferences and recommend enhancements or improvements to existing landscapes.

Install additional landscape features such as outdoor lighting, water features, or garden structures.

Assist in the construction or installation of landscape projects, such as planting beds, walkways, or seating areas.

Source and select appropriate plants, materials, or decorative elements for landscape enhancement projects.

Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide updates, and address any concerns.

Offer professional advice, recommendations, and suggestions to clients regarding landscape maintenance and improvements.

Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to promote customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Qualifications and Skills
-
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in landscaping or horticulture are beneficial.

Proven experience in landscaping, gardening, or a related field.

Knowledge of plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers, including their care requirements, growth habits, and common issues.

Familiarity with landscaping tools, equipment, and machinery, such as mowers, trimmers, pruners, and irrigation systems.

Understanding of soil types, grading, and drainage principles.

Good physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work well with clients and team members.
-
Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
-
Motor vehicle check (MVR) required.
-
Not on bus route.

Pay rate is $15 per hour

1st Shift 8am-5pm
