Human Resource Manager

A growing manufacturing company in the Meadville area is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join their team. This role is focused on supporting leadership, improving employee engagement, and helping drive key HR initiatives across the organization.

This is a hands-on position that requires a strong presence on the floor, the ability to build relationships at all levels, and the confidence to influence and guide leaders in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with site leadership to support culture initiatives, employee engagement, and overall business goals

  • Serve as a key HR resource to managers, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, and policy implementation

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried roles, with a focus on strengthening internal hiring processes

  • Manage onboarding processes to ensure a smooth and engaging new hire experience

  • Support and maintain HR programs, including learning management and succession planning initiatives

  • Maintain a consistent on-the-floor presence to build relationships and address employee concerns in real time

  • Coach and support leadership teams, including navigating difficult conversations and reinforcing company policies

  • Handle employee relations matters such as disciplinary actions, investigations, and conflict resolution

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations

  • Assist with compensation analysis and provide recommendations based on market data

  • Support payroll processes, HRIS data accuracy, reporting, and employee records management

  • Coordinate temporary staffing needs as needed

  • Assist with additional HR and operational projects as assigned

Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum of 5–7+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment

  • Strong HR generalist background, including employee relations, recruiting, and performance management

  • Experience in staffing or high-volume recruiting environments is a plus

  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with employees and leadership at all levels

  • Confident and professional approach to handling challenges and guiding decision-making

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment

  • Experience with HR systems such as Workday, ADP, or similar platforms (Dayforce, etc.)

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred

  • First shift (8am – 5pm) 

  • $65,000k + Salary

  • Direct Hire

  • Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts
