HR Generalist
A technology-focused company in Erie, PA is seeking an HR Generalist to support daily HR operations during a maternity leave coverage assignment expected to last approximately 18 weeks, with potential extension and long-term opportunity. This role will support recruiting, onboarding, payroll administration, compliance, and HR systems management within a fast-paced professional environment. The ideal candidate will be organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable managing multiple HR functions while supporting employees across the organization.
Responsibilities

Support recruiting efforts including sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews for open positions

Assist with onboarding and new hire orientation processes

Provide payroll and HR administrative support

Complete state tax registrations for new hiring locations as needed

Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations

Assist with HRIS management and employee data maintenance

Support compliance initiatives, training documentation, and general HR operations

Respond to employee and applicant inquiries professionally and efficiently

Collaborate with management on hiring and employee-related matters

Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills

Previous HR experience preferred; internship experience will be considered

Experience working with HRIS systems required

Experience with Rippling or similar platforms such as Workday preferred

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Professional verbal and written communication skills

Comfortable working with technology and learning new systems quickly

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
