Facilities Manager
Lead maintenance and facilities operations across a growing portfolio of residential and commercial properties. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for property performance, preventative maintenance, vendor management, project oversight, and ensuring buildings remain safe, efficient, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate is proactive, solutions-oriented, and willing to lead by example.
Responsibilities

Oversee maintenance and facility operations across multiple properties

Manage maintenance staff, contractors, and third-party vendors

Conduct routine property inspections and address issues proactively

Coordinate repairs, preventative maintenance, and capital improvement projects

Monitor building performance and ensure compliance with safety standards

Manage work order systems, reporting, and operational performance metrics

Obtain vendor bids, negotiate services, and oversee project execution

Troubleshoot facility issues and perform hands-on repairs when necessary

Oversee unit turnovers and ongoing property improvement initiatives

Control costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and operations
Qualifications and Skills

Previous experience in facilities management, property management, construction, or building maintenance

Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills

Experience supervising employees, contractors, and vendors

Knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and preventative maintenance programs

Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond to changing operational needs

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Proficiency with maintenance tracking systems and computer applications

Hands-on mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist with repairs when needed
