Grinder
A Grinder operates machines to shape, sharpen, or smooth metal objects or parts. Responsible for operating machines to produce precision metal parts according to specifications.
Responsibilities
1. Machine Operation:

Set up and operate grinding machines to shape, sharpen, or smooth metal workpieces.

Select appropriate grinding tools and equipment based on the specifications of the job.
2. Quality Control:

Inspect finished workpieces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

Make adjustments to the grinding machine as needed to achieve precise measurements and finishes.
3. Material Preparation:

Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to understand the specifications of the workpiece.

Prepare materials for grinding by securing them in the machine and making any necessary adjustments.
4. Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while operating grinding machines.

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow established safety procedures.
5. Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance on grinding machines to ensure they operate efficiently.

Report any machine malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
6. Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of work performed, including measurements, adjustments, and any issues encountered during the grinding process.
Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience as a Grinder in a manufacturing or metalworking environment.

Familiarity with various types of grinding machines and tools.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

Strong attention to detail and precision.

Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
