Food Production Packer
Responsibilities

Pack candy and nut products using automated packaging equipment and prepare finished product for stock or shipment

Receive and record quantities of goods and materials used for packing

Ensure sufficient packaging materials, including bags and boxes, are available for production

Unload product into bins for packaging, dispose of empty containers, and communicate material needs to appropriate team members

Make basic adjustments to production equipment and monitor machine operation throughout the production process

Load finished packages into boxes or other containers and tape, stamp, or label them as required
-
Load completed containers onto pallets, record quantities packed, and move pallets to designated areas as needed

Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all food safety, sanitation, and production procedures

Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; previous packing, production, or food manufacturing experience is helpful

Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work effectively as part of a team

Ability to perform basic counting and mathematical calculations and accurately record production quantities

Ability to safely operate production machinery and follow written and verbal work instructions

Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours, bend and reach repeatedly, and lift containers weighing up to 30 pounds

Must follow food safety and GMP requirements, including wearing a hairnet and beard net when applicable; jewelry, facial/body piercings, artificial nails, and nail polish are not permitted in production areas

This position involves regular exposure to nuts and nut-containing products; employees must be able to safely work in this environment

Pay Rate is $13.75 per hour

1st Shift: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
