Facilities Maintenance Manager

A local nonprofit organization is seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, and overall condition of its facilities, grounds, vehicles, and equipment. This hands-on leadership position will coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, facility projects, staff, and outside contractors while ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate facility, grounds, vehicle, and equipment maintenance, including preventative maintenance.

  • Supervise, schedule, train, and provide direction to custodial and maintenance staff.

  • Complete and oversee repairs and facility improvement projects in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate outside contractors, review bids, and assist with contractor selection and project oversight.

  • Ensure facilities and grounds comply with applicable fire, health, building, safety, and other regulations.

  • Maintain facility, equipment, and vehicle logs and ensure equipment is properly maintained and operated.

  • Assist with developing maintenance budgets and monitor expenditures.

  • Identify facility, safety, and operational risks and recommend appropriate solutions.

  • Assist with annual facility and capital improvement planning.

  • Develop and maintain safety standards and emergency procedures.

  • Respond to facility maintenance and emergency needs as required.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in facility management or a related field or equivalent relevant experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in facility management or a closely related field.

  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.

  • Previous supervisory, budget management, and project management experience.

  • Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and respond appropriately to safety and emergency situations.

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

  • Must have or be able to obtain Acts 33 & 34, FBI, Child Abuse before starting role.

  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, kneel, work indoors and outdoors, shovel/plow snow, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be willing and able to obtain required CPR/First Aid/AED, pool/CPO, and boiler certifications within required timeframes.

  • Full Time

  • First shift (7:30am – 3:30pm)  

  • $21+/hr based on experience

  • Temp to hire position  

  • Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts
