Design Draftsman
A local Erie company is seeking a Solidworks Design Draftsman to join their team as a valuable member of their established company. This position provides the opportunity for growth and longevity. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about the drafting process and have previous experience working with drafting software.
Responsibilities

Design metal fabricated components using Solidworks for client companies according to their specifications.

Work directly with engineering, sales, and production staff to realize product from design to production.

Create bills of materials needed to produce designed components.

Act as a liaison between client and company by fostering healthy communication.

Oversee the database of existing designs and materials to tackle each project as efficiently as possible.
Qualifications and Skills

Associate Degree in Drafting/Design or equivalent experience preferred.

3-5 years of drafting experience required.

1-3 years of metal fabrication, weldments, or equivalent experience preferred.

2-5 years of work experience with modeling software.
-
Comprehensive understanding of the design process.

Computer competency and familiarity with standard office applications.

Personable demeanor.

Willingness to problem-solve with fellow employees to ensure a high-quality product.
