Die Setter
Responsibilities
-
Read and understand blueprints
-
Changeover dies and fixtures in equipment
-
Perform basic math skills
-
Assist production in troubleshooting process problems and technical support
-
Provie technical instructions as required
-
Gage rom quality assurance lab for operations
-
Set up dies and production presses
-
Remain alert for an entire shift
-
Have good finger and hand
-
Work in extreme temperatures
-
Remain alert and stand for the entire shift
-
Perform repetitive tasks
-
Obtain manufacturing process books as required
-
Set and install dies to proper shut heights
-
Set proper alignment of material
-
Set correct progression
-
Work in a greasy or dirty environment
-
Work in a loud environment
-
Understand how to use barcode system
-
Install conveyors
-
Adhere to policies and safety regulations
-
Sign off first piece to indicate job is ready for production
-
Ensure quality before releasing to production
-
Run production when required
-
Complete tasks in a timely and thorough manner
-
Fill in material handler as needed
Qualifications and Skills

Good finger and hand dexterity
-
Basic math skills
-
Operate measuring devices
-
Possess knowledge of press functions
-
Possess knowledge of electrical circuits and controls

Possess great communication and teamwork skills
