Hardware Retail Associate
Career Concepts is currently seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate for a local hardware store in Erie, PA. The ideal candidate will have previous retail or customer service experience, along with a strong understanding of hardware, home improvement products, and general household repairs. We are looking for someone who can confidently assist customers with their projects, answer product-related questions, and recommend the appropriate tools and materials. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and painting supplies is especially important for this position.
Responsibilities

Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service.

Assist customers in finding the appropriate tools, hardware, and supplies for their projects.

Provide product recommendations related to electrical, plumbing, painting, and general home improvement projects.

Answer customer questions regarding product uses, applications, and basic household repairs.

Process customer purchases, look up product information and pricing, and assist with counter sales.

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor and counter area.

Work with coworkers and supervisors to ensure customers receive accurate information and assistance.
Qualifications and Skills

Previous retail sales or customer service experience required.

Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and painting products and supplies strongly preferred.

Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, fasteners, building materials, and general hardware products.

Previous experience in a hardware store, home improvement retailer, building supply store, or related field preferred.

Ability to confidently answer customer questions and recommend appropriate products.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.

Dependable, motivated, and customer-focused.

Saturday’s are mandatory – 1 Day off during the week
