Responsibilities

Prepare meals, menu alternates, and specials.

Ensure food quality by sampling for temperature, palatability, and appearance; alert the manager to any issues before meal service.

Complete daily documentation, including refrigerator and food temperature logs.

Assist in transporting, serving meals, and cleaning up after meal service.

Follow PPE guidelines according to Department Policy.

Be flexible to work additional shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Qualifications/Skills
-
Experience: Prior food prep, food service, or cooking experience is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements: Ability to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, bending, squatting, stooping, and lifting, including handling hot foods and liquids.

Communication Skills: Ability to read and follow schedules, recipes, instructions, and labels. Maintain a pleasant and courteous demeanor with residents, visitors, staff, and customers.

Confidentiality: Protect resident confidentiality and adhere to personnel policies applicable to the workplace
