Construction Service Technician
A home renovation company in the Erie, Harborcreek, Meadville and the surrounding area is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join their team. This position involves meeting with existing customers at pre-scheduled appointments to perform annual maintenance, address warranty concerns, and recommend additional products or services. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, mechanically inclined, and confident in both hands-on repairs and sales conversations.
Responsibilities

Meet with customers at scheduled service appointments to perform maintenance and evaluate warranty concerns

Inspect waterproofing and related systems to identify potential issues or changes in customer needs

Provide solutions and recommendations to enhance or improve original installations

Recommend additional products and services across multiple service divisions

Create and present detailed job proposals including photos, materials needed, and pricing

Collect payments at the time of service

Maintain accurate records of services, communication, and sales in CRM software

Follow up with customers until all concerns are fully resolved

Collaborate with production managers to resolve complex service issues

Attend weekly training meetings and maintain consistent attendance
Qualifications and Skills

Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in home improvement or related retail environments

1–2 years of handyman or home repair experience including drywall, painting, minor plumbing or electrical, carpentry, deck repairs, or exterior maintenance

Experience operating power tools and related equipment

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain solutions and close sales

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work outdoors for extended periods, and work at heights when necessary

Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to remain calm under pressure

Problem-solving mindset with a strong focus on customer satisfaction

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Proficiency with Microsoft Office with ability to learn new software as needed
Benefits/Compensation

Full Time

Pay Rate: $20-23/hr depending on experience level with the possibility of commission

1st shift Monday-Friday schedule with only occasional Saturday work

Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts/ Bi-weekly after hire
