CNC Lathe Operator / Set-Up / Programmer (2nd Shift)
A manufacturing company in the Erie, PA area is seeking two experienced CNC Lathe Operators / Set-Up / Programmers to join their team on 2nd shift. This position involves operating, setting up, and programming CNC lathe machines, including Swiss-style equipment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and experienced in CNC machining.
Responsibilities

Operate CNC lathe machines to produce precision parts according to specifications

Perform machine setup including tooling changes, offsets, and adjustments

Program or edit CNC programs as needed to ensure quality and efficiency

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions

Inspect parts using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and tolerances

Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Troubleshoot minor machine or production issues

Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
Qualifications and Skills

Experience operating CNC lathes required (set-up and programming preferred)

Experience with Swiss-style lathes, specifically Tsugami, is a strong plus

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Knowledge of measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Pay Rate: $15–$30/hr depending on experience

2nd Shift (Flexible scheduling: 5x8-hour days or 4x10-hour days)
