CNC Machinist
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate horizontal and vertical lathes and milling machines in a precision machining environment. This role is responsible for producing large, complex parts to exact specifications, interpreting blueprints and GD&T, performing machine setups, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the machining process. The CNC Machinist will monitor operations, make necessary adjustments, inspect finished components, and contribute to continuous improvement, safety, and overall production efficiency.
Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC horizontal and vertical lathes and milling machines to machine large, complex components to precise specifications

Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T to ensure accurate part production

Perform machine setups including tooling selection, offsets, and program adjustments for large-scale parts

Monitor machining operations and make real-time adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and surface finish requirements

Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators) to inspect parts and verify quality

Load, secure, and align large/heavy workpieces using cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment

Edit CNC programs and troubleshoot machining issues to improve efficiency and reduce scrap

Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure adherence to safety standards and shop procedures
Qualifications and Skills

Experience operating CNC lathes and/or milling machines in a manufacturing or metalworking environment

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T

Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges

Experience machining or handling large metal components in a heavy industrial setting

Ability to safely lift, move, and position heavy materials using cranes, hoists, or other lifting equipment

Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain tight tolerances and follow quality standards

Pay Rate is $22+ per hour DOE.
