Certified Facility Manager
We are hiring a strategic and highly experienced Certified Facility Manager (CFM) to lead the facilities management of a growing real estate portfolio of 100+ properties across the Eastern United States. This role will oversee retail, multifamily, and industrial buildings, most under Triple Net (NNN) leases with national tenants. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a dynamic, decentralized portfolio environment and excels at vendor oversight, capital planning, and tenant coordination.
Responsibilities

Manage facility performance across ~100 NNN-leased properties: retail stores, apartment complexes, and light industrial buildings.

Ensure lease compliance and optimal tenant satisfaction by maintaining critical building systems and appearance standards.

Develop preventative maintenance and capital improvement plans.

Hire, supervise, and evaluate vendors across HVAC, roofing, electrical, landscaping, and general maintenance categories.

Manage repair budgets, vendor contracts, and asset reporting using CMMS or similar software.

Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, and local codes.

Serve as the key point of contact for escalated tenant issues related to building operations.
Qualifications and Skills

IFMA Certified Facility Manager (CFM) – Required

Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Construction, Engineering, or Business preferred

5+ years of experience managing multi-site portfolios (retail, residential, or industrial)

Strong working knowledge of Triple Net leases (NNN)

Ability to work independently and travel regionally (10–20%)

Proficiency in CMMS platforms, budget tracking, and vendor performance metrics

Excellent negotiation, communication, and emergency response coordination

Experience managing both urban and suburban commercial properties

Familiarity with CMMS (e.g., FMX, Maintenance Connection), Procore, or Yardi

OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification
