Building Maintenance
Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections of the building’s HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure functionality and safety

Handle repairs and preventative maintenance tasks, including minor plumbing, electrical work, painting, carpentry, and general repairs
-
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff, addressing issues efficiently to minimize disruption
-
Maintain common areas, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and accessibility
-
Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and request orders as needed
-
Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or larger maintenance projects
-
Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with building safety codes
-
Assist with setting up and dismantling for events, meetings, and other building activities
-
Keep accurate maintenance records and report any major issues or necessary repairs to management
Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience in a maintenance or handyman role

Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting

Ability to read technical manuals and drawings

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Physical stamina to lift heavy objects, work on ladders, and perform outdoor tasks when necessary

Good communication skills to provide clear updates on maintenance status and any required follow-ups
