Accounts Payable Clerk
A 100% employee-owned industrial furnace service and design company with over 55 years of experience in the manufacturing industry is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate invoice processing, vendor communications, and timely payments while supporting administrative accounting functions in alignment with all company standards and procedures.
Responsibilities

Review and verify vendor invoices

Code invoices to appropriate job or GL accounts

Enter and upload invoice data into the accounting system

Prepare check runs for approval and print processing

Reconcile credit card charges and purchase order discrepancies

Maintain electronic vendor files (including W9s and COIs)

Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments

Close purchase orders upon completion of payment

Assist with month-end close activities

Respond to vendor inquiries and provide exceptional service

Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety policies
Qualifications and Skills

Associate’s degree or high school diploma required

1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Experience with Viewpoint accounting software preferred

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
-
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

24 Hours per week

Pay Rate is $16+/hr based on experience
