2nd Shift Supervisor/Injection Molding Process Technician
Seeking a 2nd Shift Supervisor/Injection Molding Process Technician to lead a production team while staying hands-on with thermoplastic injection molding operations. This role combines supervision, including staffing, training, and keeping production on schedule, with technical process work such as machine setup, mold processing, and troubleshooting to produce high-quality precision molded components.
Responsibilities

Make sure all scheduled workstations are staffed with qualified team members.

Train operators as needed so assigned jobs are run correctly.

Help operators interpret and apply quality standards and operating procedures.

Run production to plan and schedule while meeting productivity and quality goals.

Verify that operator paperwork is complete and accurate.

Monitor technicians and team members to ensure work is performed efficiently.

Step in to support operators and technicians as needed, including break coverage and responding to alarms.

Set up and run thermoplastic injection molding machines, including auxiliary equipment and robots, to produce precision molded components.

Handle mold processing and process troubleshooting across various injection molding equipment to keep part quality at optimal levels.

Confirm correct materials and procedures are used, and keep the production area clean and organized.

Identify and recommend improvements to molds and equipment.

Partner with the Quality and Engineering departments to maintain and improve process control.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills

Experience in thermoplastic injection molding, including machine setup and process troubleshooting.

Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred.

Familiarity with auxiliary equipment and robots used in molding operations.

Ability to read and follow work instructions, quality standards, and production schedules.

Strong leadership, communication, and training skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy with documentation.

Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to stand and work on the production floor for extended periods.
