2nd Shift Injection Molding Process Supervisor
We are partnering with a well-established local plastics manufacturer seeking a 2nd Shift Injection Molding Processing Supervisor to support production operations on 2nd shift. This role combines hands-on process support with supervisory responsibilities to ensure quality, productivity, and efficient molding operations. The ideal candidate has prior experience with thermoplastic injection molding, supports technical troubleshooting, and enjoys leading a small team in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities

Ensure staffing coverage and manning of all scheduled workstations

Train operators on assigned jobs, quality standards, and operating procedures

Assist operators with production questions, quality interpretation, and documentation

Run to production plan/schedule and achieve productivity, quality, and output goals

Verify all operator paperwork is properly and accurately completed

Oversee performance and efficiency of machine technicians and operators
-
Provide assistance during breaks, alarms, and changeovers as needed
-
Perform efficient set-ups and operation of thermoplastic injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and robots
-
Troubleshoot molding processes to ensure optimum quality and cycle performance
-
Ensure proper materials, procedures, and cleanliness standards are maintained

Recommend improvements to molds, equipment, and process controls

Partner with Quality and Engineering to maintain and improve process consistency

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills

Prior experience in plastic injection molding required

Prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred

Ability to train, coach, and support operators and machine techs

Strong troubleshooting and process improvement mindset

Ability to read/interpret production documentation and quality standards

Familiarity with molding equipment, robotics, and auxiliary systems

Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills

Must be comfortable working independently on 2nd shift

Second shift (1:45pm – 10pm)

Competitive hourly rate (~$24–$33+/hr based on experience)
